Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the latest version of Google's popular analytics platform. First released in 2020 but only recently needing users to upgrade, it is designed to be more flexible, scalable and privacy-focused than its predecessor, known as Universal Analytics (UA).In March 2022, Google announced that it was to “sunset” Universal Analytics on 1 July 2023.
