One of our senior service desk engineers is celebrating 20 years’ service at the company.
Jaime Nuttall is now a Service Desk and Senior Implementation Engineer, having worked his way up the ranks since joining us straight from college.
In his current role, Jaime mentors three of our support team and is responsible for managing support requests, including dealing with emergencies. He also delivers a proactive maintenance service by monitoring our clients’ IT infrastructure and undertakes system healthchecks and hardware and network installations on-site at clients’ premises.
Jaime started life at the business back in 2002 following a stint of work experience. He joined the company as Workshop Manager, handling all hardware set-up and software installations including repairs. After 12 months he attended site to undertake minor installs and in subsequent years has worked his way up through the business in various roles.
He reports to our Support Desk Manager, Ben Marshall who comments: “Jaime is an important part of our service team and someone that others look up to. He has worked hard to get to where he is, and his achievements are reflected by the progress he has continuously made over the years. I’d like congratulate Jaime on 20 years’ service, and I really enjoy working with him. Long may this continue!”
Jaime attended New Mills Secondary School and went on to study an Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education (AVCE) in Information & Communications Technology at the University of Derby's Buxton campus.
Jaime comments: “My interest in all things technology was awakened at school, and I had a natural flair for it. I also quickly understood the important role technology could play in the business sector and how companies could use it to innovate. I decided right there and then that this was a strong career choice and one that I would enjoy.”
Jaime loves his football and is a keen supporter of Manchester United and volunteers as Club Secretary and Manager at Mill Brow Football Club. He also loves running and undertakes 5km park runs and the odd 10km and half marathon.
Originally from New Mills, Jaime currently lives in Marple with his partner Gemma and their two children, Phoebe (4 years) and Finley (10 months).
